A quick update

This post is meant to do a quick update on the state of things at Michael Adsit Technologies, LLC, life in general and the blog in early 2024. Additionally, it will provide some verses that hopefully others who are going through unexpected life circumstances can also find comfort in.

Plans vs Reality - or Life

Since the initial redesign of this site and starting more blog posts much has happened that was unexpected. While we were able to get a nice start to a game engine, and do some blogging on random topics many of our life plans were disrupted. Covid threw many plans out the window, and various family things were higher priority than artwork - as such, Michael spent some time doing full time non-self employed work. With this much of the blogging energy went to internal company posts rather than this site. Additionally we moved and had some settling in time.

While things seem to be settling down for us personally, we see that the world continues to accelerate towards the chaos of the Biblical end times and we are glad to know that the Lord is in control. Though Michael really enjoyed the people he was working with, some of the upcoming products were going to have things that went against our faith - and after much prayer by both of us he stepped away from that position. Through this time, there were many amazing confirmations of the timing down to the last day to provide much comfort in the decision and many reminders of the faithfulness of Christ.

Having spent a few months catching up on non-tech things, Michael is working on a more business focused product in the background while Ida Mae is handling family things - both of us feeling quite blessed to have plugged in to a good church after the move. Additionally, Michael is casually searching for another traditional tech employment as he does greatly enjoy that as well and we wish to keep all doors open that the Lord may direct us until shown a specific path at each juncture in life.

Future Plans

Anyway, all that said, we hope to be able to focus on the blog more, and have also been playing a bit with AI artwork. As life continues, we hope to have more time blogging to finish up the practical programming series in addition to other things.

Helpful Verses

Also, we wanted to leave some Bible verses (using King James Version as it is public domain) that have been good to be reminded of when plans do not follow our own will. Links are provided should you wish for more context, or a different version

Reminder to Serve the Lord

Joshua 24:14-15

14 Now therefore fear the Lord, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the Lord.

15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Reminder to Ask for Wisdom in Faith

James 1:5-8

5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

Reminder to Not Worry

Matthew 6:24-34
 24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:

29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
1 Peter 5:6-11
6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

11 To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Reminder of God's Sacrifice and Love For Us

This section is more a reminder of how we, as people, have sinned (done our own will rather than follow God), and how He chose to create us knowing we would rebel and that he would suffer much on our behalf that we may be given the choice to become His children. It is also a reminder of what happens if we do not choose to do so - Michael used to have in his Nintendo NSider forum signature a shorter version of this message with the following.

Jesus Saves is not a Saying - It is the Only Reality.
I stand at the door and knock - answering is up to you.

In an effort to keep this section from exploding too large this section will try to relate to verses mostly related to the above mentioned thoughts, what He went through and how that affects us.

John 3:16-18 - Gods Gift of Salvation For Us
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Romans 3:23-25 - Why we need the Gift
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
Isaiah 53 - A partial look at the cost of the Gift
1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?

2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.

3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.

9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.

10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.

11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
Revelation 3:14-21 - Where I stand at the Door and Knock Comes from
14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;

15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.

16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
Romans 10:8-11 - How to Answer and Receive the Gift
8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
2 Corinthians 4:13-5:1 - A Bit of Eternal Perspective
13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;

14 Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.

15 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.

16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

5:1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

Anyway, these verses are ones that help us remember the great gift that has been given as well as to keep an eternal perspective. While on this earth we are promised hardships, and that things will not be what we expect. However, we are also promised a reward for enduring until the end.

Conclusion

So in conclusion, life happens and we look to the Lord for guidance on the future. While we look forward to His return and know that on this side of heaven, no one is perfect, we will strive to do as best we can. We do not know what the temporal result will be, but will try to keep all doors open. May you have a blessed day.
